Product Information
Alpha® Hot-Rod Granite Channel Cutting Diamond Blades are designed for cutting channels in the underside of granite countertops for reinforcing rods around sink and cooktop cutouts. The blade cuts the channel in a single pass, reducing the labor required to prepare granite for rodding.
The Hot-Rod lineup includes blade thicknesses matched to common reinforcing rod sizes, including 1/8", 3/16", 1/4", and 3/8" threaded rods. Available 3" and 4" blade diameters provide options for different cutting setups, while the diamond grit and matrix are formulated for granite, including hard red granite.
Hot-Rod blades can be used wet or dry, although Alpha recommends wet cutting. They are designed for channel cutting with compatible wet/dry stone cutters, including the Alpha AWS-110 and AWS-125, and can also be used for grout removal with the Alpha Ecocutter.
