Product Information
Alpha® Contour Diamond Blades are developed for hand curve cutting in porcelain, crystallized glass, and sintered slabs, including sink cutouts in 3 cm materials. Their cutting design addresses the chipping and fracture risks associated with hard, dense, homogeneous slabs.
The wider 4.0 mm kerf helps these curved cutting blades move through shaped openings with greater maneuverability. This supports clean, controlled cuts while reducing chipping and damage around sink rims and other curved areas.
Direct-sintered diamond segments on both sides of the steel cores remove material while creating the wider cutting path. The side protection segments also help prevent undercutting during curved cuts.
The blades are available in 4", 4-1/2", and 5" diameters with 7/8" arbors for compatible wet/dry stone cutters. Although the blades support wet or dry operation, Alpha specifies wet cutting when working with porcelain, crystallized glass, and sintered slabs.

Common Questions
The blades are designed for hand curve cutting in porcelain, crystallized glass, and sintered slabs, including sink cutouts in 3 cm materials.
No. These variants are specifically designed for porcelain, crystallized glass, and sintered slabs. Alpha offers separate Contour Blades for granite, engineered stone, and marble.
The blades support wet or dry operation, but Alpha specifies wet cutting when working with porcelain, crystallized glass, and sintered slabs.
The wider 4.0 mm kerf improves maneuverability through curved areas, helping the blades follow tighter radiuses while reducing chipping around the cut.
Direct-sintered side protection segments remove material along the cutting path while helping protect the steel cores from undercutting.
The 4" and 4-1/2" blades cut up to 3/4" deep, while the 5" blades cut up to 1-1/4" deep. All available sizes use a 7/8" arbor.
The blades are designed for compatible wet/dry stone cutters. Alpha recommends confirming the selected blade diameter, 7/8" arbor, and operating-speed requirements before use.
The 4" blades have a 14,500 RPM maximum, the 4-1/2" blades have a 13,200 RPM maximum, and the 5" blades have a 12,200 RPM maximum. Alpha also states that the blades should not be operated below 9,000 RPM.
