Tile Cutters

Large-format tile can be cut with extended-capacity manual tile cutters or rail and slab cutting systems designed for longer materials. The appropriate system depends on the tile dimensions, thickness, material, and required cut. Always compare the tile size with the cutter's stated cutting capacity before selecting a system.

Both systems can use scoring and controlled separation to cut compatible tile, but rail cutters are typically designed to extend the cutting system across larger materials. Manual tile cutters use an integrated cutter platform, while modular rail systems can provide the additional cutting length needed for large-format tile and panels.

Tile nippers are hand tools used to remove small sections of compatible tile rather than make long straight cuts. They can be useful for trimming edges, creating irregular shapes, and making adjustments around obstacles or installation details where a standard score-and-snap cutter is not suitable.
