About This Product

Waterproof Tile Underlayment for Uncoupling and Crack Isolation

The GURU® G-FLEX Uncoupling Membrane is a waterproof tile underlayment designed to provide uncoupling, crack isolation, load distribution, and vapor management beneath ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tile installations. Manufactured from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) with a thermo-bonded polypropylene fiber backing, it creates a durable foundation for residential and commercial tile assemblies.

ANSI-Compliant Waterproofing Performance

G-FLEX meets the requirements of ANSI A118.10 for waterproofing and ANSI A118.12 for crack isolation, allowing a single membrane to provide multiple performance benefits. When installed correctly, it creates a waterproof layer while accommodating substrate movement to help protect finished tile installations.

Vapor Management and Load Distribution

The raised circular cavity design promotes vapor pressure equalization beneath the tile assembly while distributing loads across the installation. This design helps support long-term tile performance over concrete and wood substrates in both residential and commercial applications.

Designed for Interior Tile Installations

G-FLEX is suitable for ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tile installations requiring waterproofing, uncoupling, and crack isolation. It is available in multiple roll sizes ranging from custom-cut sections to full commercial rolls for projects of nearly any size.
