Product Information
Alpha® Profiler B-Series diamond bullnose wheels create consistent demi-bullnose and roundover edge treatments on tile, slabs, sink openings, and hardscape materials. Four profile sizes—3/16", 3/8", 1/2", and 3/4"—provide options for easing tile edges, rounding slab edges, and profiling different material thicknesses.
Each bullnose diamond grinding wheel uses vacuum-brazed technology with diamonds selected for hard materials. The Profiler works on granite, engineered stone, marble, limestone, concrete, crystallized glass, porcelain slabs, and porcelain pavers. Concrete can be profiled, but its abrasive nature may significantly shorten wheel life.
A nylon guide slides along the material surface while the rotary toucher controls grinding depth. Keeping the guide flat and level helps prevent the Profiler from dipping and supports a straight, uniform demi-bullnose profile across the finished edge.
Each bullnose profile wheel has a 5/8"-11 female thread and internal water passage holes for use with compatible center water-feed polishers, including the Alpha AIR-680, AWP-158, and VSP-320. The B-Series is for wet profiling only and should not be used on high-speed grinders or with an external water-feed setup. After profiling, the edge can be refined with compatible Alpha Ceramica EX polishing discs.

Common Questions
The B-Series creates demi-bullnose and roundover edge profiles. Available profile sizes include 3/16", 3/8", 1/2", and 3/4".
The 3/16" model eases edges on 3/8" tile, slabs, and undermount sink openings. The 3/8" model creates a larger roundover on tile, slabs, and sink openings. The 1/2" model is intended for large-footprint 1/2"-thick floor tile, while the 3/4" model creates roundovers on 2cm and 3cm slabs.
The Profiler can be used on granite, engineered stone, marble, limestone, concrete, crystallized glass, porcelain slabs, and porcelain pavers. Concrete is highly abrasive and may substantially reduce wheel life.
Yes. Alpha Profilers are for wet use only and require a compatible center water-feed polisher. Alpha does not recommend an external water-feed system because it may not distribute water evenly through the Profiler.
The wheels have a 5/8"-11 female thread and fit compatible center water-feed polishers, including the Alpha AIR-680, AWP-158, and VSP-320.
The rotary toucher controls grinding depth while the nylon guide follows the material surface. Keeping the guide flat and level helps prevent dipping and supports a straight, consistent finished profile.
All four Profiler B-Series sizes have a maximum operating speed of 3,500 RPM.
No. Alpha Profilers must not be used on high-speed grinders because of their excessive speed and lack of the required internal water-feed supply. Use a compatible low-RPM center water-feed polisher.
