Product Information
Rust-Oleum® Painter’s Touch® 2X Ultra Cover® Primer provides a sound base for Painter’s Touch 2X Ultra Cover Enamels on wood, metal, most plastic, wicker, and other compatible surfaces. The high-solids formula provides increased coverage compared with Rust-Oleum general-purpose paints such as Quick Color and Touch N’ Tone.
Applying the primer promotes topcoat adhesion and helps prevent chipping, cracking, and peeling. It also reduces the need for multiple coats of enamel finish, providing a properly prepared base before applying the desired topcoat.
The advanced spray system allows the can to spray at any angle, including upside down, for easier application on difficult-to-reach surfaces. A comfort spray tip with a wider finger pad helps reduce fatigue during continuous spraying.
The primer is suitable for most plastics, but some polyethylene plastics, including certain storage containers, may resist paint adhesion. Test the primer in a hidden area first when working with these surfaces.
