Product Information
Rust-Oleum® Marine Coatings Spar Varnish is a clear protective finish for exterior wood boat surfaces above the waterline. It protects against sunlight, water, sea spray, and chemical exposure while providing a clear gloss finish on trim, railings, and wood furniture.
The spar varnish can be applied over properly prepared varnished, stained, or lacquered surfaces. Surfaces must be clean and free of grease, oil, silicone, wax, and other contaminants that could interfere with adhesion.
Marine Spar Varnish is intended for above-waterline applications only. Do not use it below the waterline, on galvanized surfaces, or over shellac, fresh lacquer, fresh varnish, or lacquer sanding sealers.
