The Rust-Oleum® HOME® Floor Coating is a two-step coating system for updating bare, stained, sealed, or previously coated interior floors. The system can be applied to ceramic tile, porcelain tile, concrete, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and linoleum, providing a new finish without stripping, sanding, or priming when the existing surface passes the required adhesion test.
The system requires a Step 1 Base Coat followed by a separately sold Step 2 Top Coat. Base Coat options include factory colors and tintable bases, while Top Coats are available in Matte and Semi-Gloss finishes. Quart sizes cover approximately 75–100 sq. ft., while gallon sizes cover approximately 300–400 sq. ft. Rust-Oleum recommends testing adhesion before coating the entire floor.
