Product Information
Nuheat® Membrane Sheet is a tile underlayment designed for uncoupling and crack isolation over suitable subfloors. It reduces the risk of tile cracking caused by movement in the flooring assembly and achieved a High Performance rating under the ANSI A118.12 System Crack Resistance test.
The membrane is designed to accommodate Nuheat Cable, the cold lead joint, end seal, and sensor probe without cutting or modifying the membrane. Cable spacing can be adjusted to provide 10, 12, or 15 W/ft² heat output, allowing the underlayment and electric floor heating system to be installed together.
Standard Membrane is compatible with modified or unmodified thinset and can provide waterproofing when installed with waterproofing seam tape. Peel & Stick Membrane eliminates the thinset installation step beneath the membrane, installs 40% faster, and prevents thinset from oozing through membrane seams.
Nuheat Membrane can replace one layer of plywood or cement board in the subfloor assembly. Standard Membrane achieved an Extra Heavy rating in the ASTM C627 Robinson Floor Test, while Peel & Stick Membrane achieved a Moderate rating.
