Product Information
Miracle Sealants® Heavy-Duty Cleaner (Acid Substitute) is an alkaline, water-based cleaner for grout haze, built-up grease, dirt and stains. It delivers the cleaning power customers expect from an acidic cleaner while avoiding the corrosive effects of acid, making it suitable for demanding cleanup on compatible stone, tile, grout and glass.
A proprietary blend of surfactants, detergents and emulsifiers penetrates beneath stains to attack dirt and grime at the molecular level. This deep-cleaning action helps loosen stubborn buildup while leaving no oily or soapy residue that could dull the appearance of the cleaned surface.
For post-installation cleanup, the formula works as a grout haze remover for cement, acrylic, urethane and epoxy grout haze. It helps clear dull film and stubborn grout residue from compatible surfaces, revealing a cleaner finished installation without relying on a conventional acid wash.
The non-corrosive formula does not etch natural stone or remove the finish or polish from acid-sensitive materials such as marble. It can also clean granite, quartz, slate, limestone, travertine, terra cotta, glass, fiberglass, ceramic, porcelain, quarry tile, brick, masonry and grout across counters, floors, walls, showers, sinks and tubs.
Suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, Heavy-Duty Cleaner remains stable in hot and cold climates. Its broad compatibility gives contractors, installers and property owners one versatile cleaner for post-installation cleanup, restoration work and deep cleaning throughout residential or commercial spaces.

Common Questions
No. Although designed as an alternative to an acidic cleaner, this product is an alkaline, water-based cleaner with a pH below 9.0. Miracle Sealants describes it as industrial strength and non-corrosive, providing acid-like cleaning performance without the harmful effects associated with traditional acid cleaners.
It removes grout haze, built-up grease, dirt and stains. The manufacturer also specifies cement, acrylic, urethane and epoxy grout haze, making it useful as a grout haze remover and grout residue remover for post-installation cleanup or demanding restoration work on compatible surfaces.
Miracle Sealants does not specifically identify this product as a mortar residue remover, efflorescence remover or rust remover. Its documented uses include grout haze, grease, dirt and stains, so select a purpose-labeled cleaner when mortar deposits, efflorescence or rust are the primary concern.
The cleaner is compatible with ceramic, porcelain and quarry tile, glass, fiberglass, grout, brick, masonry and natural stone such as granite, marble, quartz, slate, limestone, sandstone, travertine and terra cotta. Recommended areas include counters, floors, walls, showers, sinks and tubs indoors or outdoors.
Yes. The non-corrosive formula is designed not to etch natural stone or remove the finish or polish from acid-sensitive surfaces, including marble. This makes it a practical option when strong cleaning performance is needed but the surface cannot tolerate a traditional acidic cleaner.
Miracle Sealants states that the cleaner may be used undiluted for difficult jobs or diluted with as much as five parts clean water to one part cleaner, depending on soil severity. Follow the product label when selecting the appropriate concentration for the surface and cleaning task.
The formula is designed to leave no oily or soapy residue. Rinsing is unnecessary for most cleaning jobs, but grout haze removal requires a clean-water rinse to carry away the loosened haze and remaining residue after the surface has been cleaned.
Coverage varies with surface density, porosity, texture, absorption, weather, dwell time and application method. The technical data sheet lists practical coverage at approximately 175 to 350 square feet per gallon, so absorbent surfaces or demanding cleanup may use more product than a light cleaning job.
