Product Information
Miracle Sealants® 511 Spray-On Grout Sealer is a ready-to-use, solvent-based penetrating sealer made for sanded and unsanded cementitious grout in tile and stone installations. Its directional aerosol targets grout joints, helping homeowners and professionals protect new work or refresh existing grout without coating the surrounding finish. When grout cure requirements are met, it can be applied as soon as two hours after grouting to help keep projects moving.
The formula penetrates porous grout and creates an invisible barrier that resists water and oil absorption, stains, alkalis, and salt intrusion. Because the protection sits within the grout instead of forming a topical coating, moisture vapor can still escape and the grout retains its natural appearance. This provides discreet protection in areas exposed to splashes, spills, and daily use.
Designed for indoor and outdoor grout installations, 511 Spray-On Grout Sealer is suitable for showers, kitchens, backsplashes, countertops, floors, patios, pool decks, walkways, and commercial spaces. It is UV transparent, will not yellow, and helps defend grout against weather, acid rain, and freeze/thaw conditions. When used as directed, it will not harm listed ceramic, porcelain, glass, quarry, glazed tile, or natural stone surfaces.

Common Questions
It is a solvent-based penetrating sealer made for new or existing sanded and unsanded cementitious grout joints, rather than a tile sealer or stone sealer for the entire surface. It is not a water-based impregnator. Natural stone may require a separate compatible sealer before grouting to protect it from grout haze.
For newly installed grout, the manufacturer allows application as soon as two hours after grouting, provided grout residue has been removed and the grout has met its cure requirements. Existing grout must be clean, dry, and free of sealers, coatings, dirt, mineral deposits, grease, and other contaminants before it is sealed.
The sealer penetrates cementitious grout and forms an invisible barrier that resists water and oil absorption, staining, alkalis, salt intrusion, and freeze/thaw damage. It is not a topical coating, so it allows moisture vapor to escape and does not alter the grout's natural appearance.
When used as directed, the sealer will not harm ceramic, porcelain, glazed, quarry, or glass tile, or marble, granite, limestone, travertine, slate, and other natural stone. Natural stone should be sealed before grouting to protect against grout haze, and nearby wood, carpet, metal, landscaping, and other non-masonry surfaces should be protected.
Yes. It is intended for interior and exterior grout installations in kitchens, bathrooms, showers, backsplashes, countertops, floors, patios, pool decks, walkways, restaurants, hotels, retail spaces, and public work areas. The grout must still meet the manufacturer's preparation and application conditions.
One 15 oz aerosol can seals up to 250 linear feet of grout, which the manufacturer equates to approximately 125 square feet of installed tile. Actual coverage varies with grout texture and porosity, so highly absorbent joints may require more product or a second application.
At standard laboratory conditions, the sealer is dry to the touch in one to three hours, permits light use after about two hours, and reaches full cure in 24 hours. Keep the treated area dry and free from staining materials during that 24-hour cure period for optimal results.
Use the aerosol only in a well-ventilated area and protect wood, carpet, metal, landscaping, and other non-masonry surfaces from spray. The manufacturer specifies an application range of 32°F to 120°F, advises against direct sunlight, and requires no rain in the forecast for 24 hours on exterior projects.
