The HYDRO-BLOK Classic Shower Kit combines a pre-sloped center drain pan, waterproof wall panels, a mini curb, brass drain components, seals, joint sealant, fasteners, and installation accessories in one coordinated package. Designed for tiled shower construction, it reduces the need to source the primary waterproofing components separately.
The pan, wall panels, and curb use waterproof XPS foam cores reinforced with fiberglass mesh and coated with modified cement surfaces. HYDRO-BLOK Joint Sealant connects seams and transitions, while the included pipe and mixing valve seals address common plumbing penetrations. When properly installed, the components form a continuous tile-ready shower substrate.
The factory-formed slope directs water toward the center drain without requiring a traditional sloped mortar bed. Lightweight foam components are easier to carry, cut, and position during construction, helping installers prepare the shower for tile with fewer heavy materials and fewer individually sourced system components.
The modified cement surfaces accept ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, glass, and mosaic finishes using an appropriate thin-set mortar.
