Product Information
BLUE BEAR® BEAN•e•doo® 300RE Asphalt Remover is a soy-based cleaner formulated to loosen difficult, high-oil asphalt buildup from paving tools, machinery, and equipment. It breaks down modified asphalt, polymers, top coatings, coal tar, dressings, sealers, and tack coatings so accumulated material can be removed more efficiently.
In addition to removing existing buildup, BEAN•e•doo 300RE can be applied to clean metal surfaces before paving work begins. Pre-application helps reduce how tightly asphalt bonds to the metal, making tools and equipment easier to clean during and after use.
The low-odor, low-VOC formula is made with American-grown soybeans and contains no petroleum distillates. Franmar identifies the product as biodegradable and states that it meets or exceeds applicable ASTM biodegradability standards. Average coverage ranges from 100 to 200 square feet per gallon.
Spray undiluted BEAN•e•doo 300RE directly onto the asphalt buildup and allow it to remain until the material has softened. Buildup thicker than 1/2" may require a longer dwell time or multiple applications. For large machinery or treatment areas, use a pump-up sprayer with chemical-resistant seals.
After the buildup has softened, rinse the treated area with a pressurized hose or power washer. Because 300RE is designed to break down asphalt-based materials, protect finished asphalt and any other surfaces that are not intended for treatment.
Common Questions
It removes difficult asphalt buildup, modified asphalt, polymers, top coatings, coal tar, dressings, sealers, and tack coatings from tools and equipment.
It is intended primarily for removing asphalt buildup from paving tools and equipment. It can also be pre-applied to clean metal surfaces to help reduce asphalt bonding.
Spray the product undiluted directly onto the asphalt buildup and allow it to remain until the material has softened. Rinse the loosened buildup away with a pressurized hose or power washer.
No. The manufacturer instructs users to spray the Asphalt Remover undiluted directly onto the buildup.
Buildup thicker than 1/2" may require a longer dwell time or multiple applications before it can be removed completely.
Yes. Applying it to a clean metal surface before use helps prevent asphalt from bonding tightly, making later cleanup easier.
Yes. For large machinery or application areas, Franmar recommends using a pump-up sprayer equipped with chemical-resistant seals.
Yes. Franmar identifies the product as biodegradable and states that it meets or exceeds applicable ASTM biodegradability standards.
No. It is a soy-based, low-odor, low-VOC formula made without petroleum distillates.
Average coverage ranges from 100 to 200 square feet per gallon. Actual coverage depends on the thickness and amount of buildup being treated.
Protect surfaces that are not intended for treatment because the product breaks down asphalt-based materials. Follow the label and safety data sheet, wear safety glasses or chemical goggles, and keep the product out of reach of children.
