Product Information
Alpha® Wet Core Drill Bits are aggressive core bits for drilling clean holes in granite, engineered stone, concrete, and ceramic tile. Direct-sintered metal segments are brazed to the steel core for fast cutting and long service life in wet drilling applications.
These core bits are suited for drilling faucet-mounting holes in countertops and vanities and creating clean rounded corners for square or rectangular sink cutouts. They can also drill penetrations for water, gas, and electrical piping where natural stone, concrete, or ceramic tile is already installed.
The 5/8"-11 thread fits many common drills and water-fed polishing tools. The bits can be used with a drill press equipped with a water swivel or free-hand with compatible wet polishing tools such as the Alpha AIR-680, AWP-158, or VSP-320.
Alpha Wet Core Drill Bits must be used wet with a central water-feed tool or water swivel. For free-hand drilling, Alpha recommends using a template to guide the bit and clamping a scrap piece of stone beneath the workpiece to reduce excessive chipping on the backside.
