Product Information
The Alpha® Vextra Flat Disc is an aggressive diamond grinding disc designed for steel, stainless steel, and non-ferrous metals, including Ex ZONE applications where spark reduction is a priority. Its optimized diamond grit and layer arrangement provides consistent grinding performance and long service life while allowing the wheel to be used flat for greater surface coverage.
Vextra removes rust, burrs, mill scale, and paint from metal surfaces while resisting clogging during grinding. It also works well for removing epoxy, glues, and adhesives, making it suitable for surface preparation and material removal applications where conventional abrasives can load up or require frequent replacement.
The sandwich construction incorporates rubber to reduce disc weight, vibration, and noise during operation. This design helps reduce operator fatigue while maintaining aggressive grinding performance and eliminates downtime associated with frequent abrasive changes.
Vextra Flat Discs are available in 4-1/2", 5", and 7" diameters with 35, 50, or 80 grit options. Depending on the model, discs are available with a 7/8" arbor or 5/8"-11 zinc hub. In addition to metal, Vextra can be used on natural stone, engineered stone and quartz surfaces, wood, and rubber.
