Summit Metal Bond Wheels are metal bond wheels designed for grinding and honing granite surfaces with radial arm wet polishers. They are used at the beginning of the surface finishing process to remove saw marks and flatten stone prior to polishing.
These wheels are commonly used in stone fabrication for countertops, tabletops, and the backside of slabs, as well as monument applications including interior walls, sides, undersides, and tops. The bond formulation is optimized for granite processing in North American fabrication environments.
When operated at approximately 400 RPM with medium to light pressure and constant water flow, the wheels provide controlled material removal and surface refinement. Multiple grit options allow progressive grinding to achieve the surface condition required before moving to resin or polishing abrasives.
