Product Information
Alpha® Summit Metal Bond Wheels begin the granite polishing process by grinding and honing the surface before polishing grits are used. These metal-bonded diamond grinding wheels remove gang saw marks and smooth flat granite surfaces in preparation for the following polishing stages.
Each granite grinding wheel can be used on countertops, tabletops, and the backsides of granite slabs. The wheels also support monument work involving interior walls, sides, undersides, and tops where a smooth, properly prepared surface is required before polishing.
These bonded grinding wheels are formulated for aggressive material removal, consistent results, and long service life. Alpha recommends operating them at 400 RPM with medium to light pressure and a constant flow of water for best performance.
Summit Metal Bond Grinding Wheels are available in #50, #80, #200, and #400 grits for progressive granite surface preparation. The complete product line includes 6", 8", and 10" diameters, while the variants listed here are 10" wheels available in all four grits for common radial arm wet polishers.
