About This Product

Diamond Hand Pads for On-Site Polishing

Alpha® Diamond Hand Polishing Pads provide a convenient manual polishing system for glass, porcelain, ceramics, marble, granite, concrete, terrazzo, and quartz surfaces. The hand-held format allows polishing, honing, and surface finishing without requiring a powered polishing tool.

Electroplated Pads for 60 to 500 Grit

The 60, 150, 300, and 500 grit pads use an electroplated bond with nickel plating technology to hold individual diamonds in place. These four grit levels provide progressive options for lower-grit surface work through finer finishing before moving into the resin-bond polishing stages.

Resin Pads for 1000 to 3000 Grit

The 1000, 2000, and 3000 grit pads use finer diamond grit in a resin bond applied to a specialized backing material. These higher grits are suited for progressing from honing into polishing where a finer surface finish is required.

Seven-Grit Polishing System

Individual pads are available from 60 through 3000 grit, allowing the bond type and grit to be matched to the stage of surface finishing. A complete seven-pad kit is also available with all four electroplated grits and all three resin grits for a full progression from 60 to 3000 grit.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What materials can Alpha Diamond Hand Polishing Pads be used on?

The pads can be used on glass, porcelain, ceramics, marble, granite, concrete, terrazzo, and quartz surfaces.

What grits are available?

The system includes 60, 150, 300, and 500 electroplated grits and 1000, 2000, and 3000 resin grits. A seven-pad kit containing the complete grit range is also available.

What is the difference between the electroplated and resin pads?

The 60 through 500 grit pads use nickel plating to hold individual diamonds in place. The 1000 through 3000 grit pads use finer diamond grit in a resin bond on a specialized backing and are suited for honing through polishing stages.

Do these diamond pads require a polishing machine?

No. They are hand polishing pads intended for convenient manual surface finishing and on-site polishing.

Does the DHPKIT include every available grit?

Yes. The DHPKIT contains all seven grits: 60, 150, 300, 500, 1000, 2000, and 3000.
