Product Information
The Alpha® Contour Diamond Blade is specifically developed for hand curve cutting in porcelain, crystallized glass, and sintered slabs, including sink cutouts in 3cm materials. Its cutting design addresses hard, dense, homogeneous materials that can be prone to chipping and fracture when cut with traditional diamond stone blades.
The blade cuts curved areas cleanly and accurately while reducing the risk of chipping or damaging the material. Its wider 4.0mm kerf improves maneuverability through curved cuts, making it suited for sink openings and other shaped cuts where maintaining the surrounding material is critical.
Direct sintered diamond segments on the steel core help prevent undercutting during curved cutting applications. Combined with the wider kerf, the blade provides the control needed to navigate curves in porcelain, crystallized glass, and sintered slabs without relying on a conventional stone blade.
The Contour Diamond Blade can be operated wet or dry, but Alpha specifies wet cutting when working with porcelain, crystallized glass, and sintered slabs. For best performance, Alpha recommends pairing the blade with an Alpha Wet or Dry Stone Cutter to help complete sink cutouts without breaking the rim.
