Nuheat Underlayment Backerboard
Tile installation professionals install underlayment beneath tile floors to mitigate at least one issue, if not more. One crucial reason for adding tile underlayment is to increase rigidity in the system. In addition, underlayment is highly effective at preventing moisture seepage up through the subfloor. It also prevents any subfloor cracking from reaching already installed tiles. Finally, underlayment can add important soundproofing. At Tile This, we offer a number of different underlayment options, including Nuheat uncoupling membrane.
Nuheat Floor Membrane
Nuheat membrane is an effective substitute for an additional layer of plywood/concrete board and prevents the need for self-leveling methods. It also lowers the potential for tile cracking as a result of floor assembly movement. The Nuheat membrane system, when used with Nuheat cables, is an effective floor heating, uncoupling, and waterproofing solution all-in-one.
Simplified Installation Process
The Nuheat membrane system makes the installation of Nuheat cables easier. When utilized with the Nuheat cable system, the installer can make adjustments to the spacing of wires and the output of heat based on the job specifications. When installing tile on top of the membrane, the Nuheat membrane requires a modified or un-modified thin-set mortar.
Fully Customizable
A significant benefit of employing a membrane and cable system is the ability to easily cut the membrane to the size that matches the area you want to heat. This membrane, which is available in three sizes, consists of polypropylene sheet that is thermos-bonded to polypropylene fabric (non-woven) in the bottom side.
