About This Product

Electric Floor Heating for Tile, Stone and Finished Floors

SunTouch® TapeMat® is an electric floor heating mat designed for installation over plywood, backer board, or concrete slab. The heating cable is pre-spaced at 3" on center to provide 12 watts per square foot and is secured with double-sided tape along both edges of the mat.

Installation in Thinset or Self-Leveling Mortar

TapeMat is embedded in a minimum 3/8" layer of polymer-modified thinset, self-leveling concrete, or an approved setting bed according to the installation. It can be installed over backer board or approved mortar beds on wood subfloors and concrete slabs.

Compatible Floor Coverings and Substrates

The system supports tile and stone, carpet, and hardwood floor coverings when installed according to applicable requirements. Available 2' and 3' mat widths provide multiple coverage options for fitting electric floor heating into different room layouts.

120V and 240V Heating Mat Options

TapeMat is available in 120V and 240V configurations with sizes ranging from 10 to 160 sq. ft. depending on voltage and mat width. The system draws approximately 1 amp per 10 sq. ft. at 120V or 1 amp per 20 sq. ft. at 240V.

Heating Cable Construction

The heating elements use oxygen-free copper or nickel-copper conductors with ETFE fluoropolymer insulation and a copper ground. Each mat includes a 10' power lead and has a minimum allowable bend radius of 1".
