wedi® Sanoasa® Shower Bench Seats are prefabricated shower benches made from wedi Building Panel for integration into tiled shower systems. The waterproof closed-cell extruded polystyrene foam core is mold-proof and insulating, while fiberglass mesh embedded in a cement resin coating creates a reinforced, tile-ready surface for thin-set mortar.
Pre-Sloped Floor-Mounted Shower Benches
Sanoasa Bench 2 and Bench 3 are floor-mounted designs with pre-sloped seat surfaces. Bench 2 features a 72° front-to-top angled transition. Bench 3 uses the same angled profile with a rounded 2" radius, making it suitable for penny round, mosaic, and other small-format tile installations.
Wall-Suspended Shower Bench for Open Floor Designs
Sanoasa Bench 4 provides a wall-suspended alternative that leaves the shower floor open beneath the seat. The 47-1/4" bench can be cut to length and features a sloped seat surface. Once properly installed and tiled, including its bottom surface, it supports up to 500 lbs. and requires a minimum 4" × 4" tile size for safe performance.
Installation with wedi Shower Systems
Floor-mounted Sanoasa benches attach to shower wall and floor surfaces using wedi Joint Sealant. Where the sloped shower floor creates a gap beneath the bench, thin-set mortar can be used as filler and reinforced with mesh tape. When installed over a wedi Shower Base or wedi shower system, the reinforced seam does not require additional waterproofing.
