The SunTouch® WarmWire Electric Floor Heating Cable is a radiant heat cable system designed for custom underfloor heating installations beneath tile, stone, hardwood, and carpet flooring surfaces. Using a series resistance heating cable assembly, WarmWire provides flexible layout options for residential and commercial floor warming applications.
WarmWire installs over plywood, backer board, or concrete slab substrates according to ANSI and TCNA guidelines before being embedded within self-leveling mortar or polymer-modified thin-set mortar. Unlike pre-spaced heating mats, the cable design allows adjustable spacing at 2.5", 3", or 3.5" intervals using CableStrap, making it easier to adapt around fixtures, curves, and irregular room layouts.
The system delivers electric radiant floor heating for bathrooms, kitchens, entryways, showers, and other interior spaces while maintaining a low-profile installation height. Depending on cable spacing, WarmWire can provide heat outputs ranging from 10.3 to 14.4 watts per square foot for controlled floor warming performance.
A durable constant-diameter heating cable and reduced EMF wire design support long-term operation beneath finished flooring surfaces. WarmWire is designed for use with a SunStat® floor sensing thermostat, sold separately, and is available in multiple lengths with both 120V and 240V configurations.
