About This Product

Waterproofing Adhesive for Membranes and Seams

Blanke® AQUA SEAL is a one-component polymer adhesive and sealant for waterproofing BLANKE DIBA strips, accessories, overlapping seams, butt joints, and connections to adjoining construction components. It provides strong adhesion and can be applied to slightly damp, sound substrates.

Indoor and Outdoor Bonding Applications

The silane-terminated polymer formula is suitable for indoor and outdoor use and bonds to materials including timber, stone, concrete, metal, glass, and many synthetic materials. AQUA SEAL is water-resistant, UV- and weather-resistant, paintable, and formulated without solvents, isocyanates, or silicone.

Application with BLANKE DIBA Waterproofing

For membrane applications, AQUA SEAL is applied to the substrate and spread over the bonding area with a fine notched trowel. BLANKE DIBA strips or waterproofing tape are then pressed into the fresh adhesive using the smooth side of the trowel or a suitable pressure roller. When used as a joint filler, the joint is filled and the surface smoothed immediately.

Coverage and Curing

A 10.5 oz. cartridge provides approximately 10–12 linear meters when applied as a continuous wavy bead or approximately 8 linear meters when applied with a notched trowel tip. The adhesive skins in approximately 20 minutes and cures at approximately 3 mm per 24 hours.
