Product Information
Rust-Oleum® HOME® Floor Coating is a two-step coating system for updating interior floors without stripping, sanding, or priming. The system uses a required Step 1 Base Coat followed by a separately sold Step 2 Top Coat to create a durable finish with scratch and stain resistance.
The coating can be applied over bare, stained, sealed, or previously coated ceramic tile, porcelain tile, concrete, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and linoleum. It is designed for interior spaces including kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and basements.
Base Coat and Top Coat are both required and sold separately. White Tint Base can be used as Ultra White or tinted before application, while Deep Tint Base must be tinted before use. Applying White Tint Base as Ultra White requires two base coats. Top Coat is available in Matte and Semi-Gloss finishes.
The Base Coat is ready to use and should not be thinned. Quart sizes cover approximately 75–100 sq. ft., while gallon sizes cover approximately 300–400 sq. ft. The finished system can accept foot traffic after one day.
Rust-Oleum HOME Floor Coating is not intended for exterior spaces, garage floors, shower interiors, or surfaces sealed with a superhydrophobic sealer. The coating is not food safe.
