Product Information
Alpha® Porcellana Wet Diamond Blades are professional cutting blades formulated for dense porcelain tile and slab. The specialized diamond grit and matrix balance efficient cutting speed with minimal chipping, helping produce cleaner finished edges and reduce wasted material.
The continuous rim diamond blade design uses fine diamonds to maintain uninterrupted contact with the material and minimize edge chipping. The 8" and 10" models feature a 3/8" (10mm) tall diamond layer for extended cutting life during repeated tile saw use.
Porcellana is a hybrid wet blade recommended for porcelain, ceramic tile, granite, marble, engineered stone, and travertine. This broad material compatibility gives tile installers one wet cutting blade series for porcelain and many other common tile and stone products.
Five blade sizes are available. The 4-3/8" and 5" models fit compatible stone cutters and angle grinders configured for wet cutting, providing a portable jobsite option without a full-size tile saw. The 7", 8", and 10" models have 5/8" arbors and are designed for compatible tile saws.
Porcellana blades are for wet use only and require continuous water flow to prevent excessive heat buildup and blade damage. Water also reduces dust and supports cutting performance and blade life. Routine re-dressing may not be necessary under proper cutting conditions, but a blade that slows because of glazing should be re-dressed with a suitable dressing stone or soft abrasive material.

Common Questions
Porcellana blades are recommended for porcelain tile and slab, ceramic tile, granite, marble, engineered stone, and travertine.
Porcellana blades are for wet cutting only. Continuous water flow is required to prevent excessive heat buildup and blade damage while supporting dust control, cutting performance, and blade life.
Yes. Porcellana is a continuous rim diamond blade that uses fine diamonds to produce clean cuts with minimal edge chipping.
The 7", 8", and 10" Porcellana blades are designed for compatible tile saws and use 5/8" arbors.
The 4-3/8" and 5" models are designed for compatible stone cutters and angle grinders configured for wet cutting. Always match the blade diameter, arbor, and maximum RPM to the tool.
The 8" and 10" Porcellana blades feature a 3/8" (10mm) tall diamond layer for extended cutting life.
Routine re-dressing may not be necessary when the blade is used properly. If cutting speed decreases because the diamonds have rounded over or glazed, Alpha recommends re-dressing the blade with a suitable dressing stone or soft abrasive material.
