Alpha® GV Backer Pads convert Makita® GV5000 and GV5010 Sanders to a hook-and-loop accessory system. The M8-1.25 male attachment fits the sanders' spindle configuration, allowing compatible polishing pads, sandpaper, and felt wheels to be installed without messy glues or adhesives.
The backing plate remains rigid and flat while providing enough flexibility to follow curved surfaces. This balance supports controlled polishing on bullnose edges while maintaining the stability needed for flat surfaces.
GV Backer Pads are available in 4" and 5" sizes, with both versions rated for a maximum operating speed of 4,500 RPM. Their hook-and-loop faces accept compatible accessories for polishing and finishing stone, tile, metal, wood, and glass.
