Product Information
The Alpha® ESC-150 and ESC-250 are portable electric stone cutters for granite, quartz surfaces, marble, limestone, concrete, and sintered or porcelain slabs. Their 1200W motors operate 6" cutting discs at 10,000 RPM and provide a maximum cutting depth of 2", allowing 1-1/4" (3cm) stone to be cut in a single pass. With the appropriate blade, the handheld design also provides a portable tile cutter alternative when a stationary tile saw is impractical.
Each stone cutter can miter material up to 1-1/4" (3cm) thick without an extensive stationary cutting setup. The tools also support sink-hole cutting and groove cutting for steel or fiberglass rodding applications. For guided straight and miter cuts, the optional ASC-6CSM Carriage Assembly connects the cutter to the Alpha Guide Rail System. The carriage and guide rails are sold separately.
For use as a wet stone cutter, the included 15' kink-free water hose supplies water while remaining flexible for easier maneuverability. An EasyOn-EasyOff Sleeve bundles the water hose and power cord to reduce drag during longer cuts. For dry stone cutter applications, the built-in dust gate connects to a compatible HEPA vacuum to collect dust near the cutting area. The vacuum is not included.
The 7/8" arbor accepts 6" cutting discs, with blade selection determined by the material and application. Alpha identifies the 6" Katana blade for porcelain panels and slabs, the 4" Hot-Rod blade for grooves used with 1/4" steel rods or 1/8" fiberglass rods, and the 5" Libero blade for marble slabs typically measuring 3/4" (2cm) thick or less. Cutting blades are sold separately.
