About This Product
Color-Enhancing Satin Finish for Porous Floors
Miracle Sealants® Matte Finish Sealer is a water-based topical coating made for Saltillo, terra cotta, unglazed ceramic tile, concrete, brick, slate, and compatible textured natural or cast stone. It enriches the material's natural color and leaves a satin sheen, giving porous interior floors a finished, low-maintenance appearance. Its specialized formula is designed to bond with textured surfaces that can be difficult to coat.
Maintainable Protection for Interior Floor Traffic
The coating works over the appropriate Miracle penetrating sealer or impregnator to support adhesion and performance. It forms a stain- and scuff-resistant surface layer, exceeds the manufacturer's minimum slip-resistance requirements, and will not yellow. Normal traffic can still produce marks, but spray buffing or high-speed burnishing can rejuvenate the finish. The low-VOC formula also cleans up with water while wet.

Rust-Oleum lists Saltillo, terra cotta, unglazed ceramic tile, clay pavers, brick, concrete, masonry, flamed granite, tumbled marble, cleft-faced slate, flamed limestone, cast stone, and other textured natural stone. The product is limited to interior floors, so it should not be used on exterior surfaces or walls.
Does Matte Finish Sealer leave a completely flat finish?
Despite the product name, the current manufacturer page describes the finished appearance as a color-enhanced satin sheen rather than a completely flat finish. It also enhances natural color, so test several inconspicuous areas before full application to confirm the sheen and color change are suitable for the floor.
Is Matte Finish Sealer a penetrating stone sealer?
No. It is a water-based topical coating, not a penetrating stone sealer or impregnator. The manufacturer instructs users to apply the appropriate Miracle penetrating sealer or impregnator to the substrate first for adhesion and performance. Because this finish forms a surface film, it inhibits vapor transmission.
Will the finish resist scratches, stains, and scuffs?

Additional coats may be applied after the previous coat has dried for approximately one to two hours. The finish becomes dry to the touch in about one to five hours and can then receive normal foot traffic, but the floor should remain dry and stain-free for 72 hours for optimal curing.
What preparation and application conditions does the finish require?
The floor must be clean, completely dry, and treated with the appropriate Miracle penetrating sealer or impregnator before the finish is applied. Use the product undiluted, work between approximately 50°F and 80°F, and avoid puddles, bubbles, or overlap marks. Wet tools can be cleaned with water.
