About This Product

EPA-Registered Mold Control and Prevention

Concrobium® Mold Control® is a ready-to-use, EPA-registered mold cleaner that eliminates existing mold, helps prevent regrowth, and controls musty odors. As it dries, the colorless and odorless solution forms an invisible antimicrobial barrier that encapsulates and physically crushes mold spores while remaining on the treated surface to resist future growth.

Bleach-Free Mold and Mildew Cleaner

The formula contains no bleach, ammonia, alcohol, acids, or VOCs. It is suitable for hard and fabric surfaces including drywall, lumber, plaster, concrete, metal, marble, tile, grout, upholstery, furniture, and clothing.

Ready-to-Use Mold Cleaner

Concrobium Mold Control does not require dilution. Remove heavy soil so the solution can contact the mold, apply until the surface is evenly wet, and allow it to dry completely. The product controls mold but may not whiten residual stains on contact. Remaining discoloration may require wiping, scrubbing, or a separate stain-removal step before Mold Control is reapplied for ongoing protection.

Water-Damage Remediation and Material Pretreatment

Use Concrobium Mold Control during mold remediation following leaks or flooding, for prevention in moisture-prone areas, or as a pretreatment on building materials such as drywall and lumber. Before application, correct water leaks, excess humidity, and other conditions that support mold growth.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Concrobium Mold Control work?

As it dries, Concrobium Mold Control forms an invisible antimicrobial barrier that encapsulates and physically crushes mold spores. The barrier remains on the treated surface to help resist future mold growth.

Is Concrobium Mold Control ready to use?

Yes. The solution is ready to use and should not be diluted. Remove heavy soil, apply the product until the surface is evenly wet, and allow the treated area to dry completely.

What surfaces can Concrobium Mold Control be used on?

It is suitable for hard and fabric surfaces including drywall, lumber, plaster, concrete, metal, marble, tile, grout, upholstery, furniture, and clothing. Test a small, inconspicuous area when surface compatibility is uncertain.

Does Concrobium Mold Control contain bleach or ammonia?

No. The formula contains no bleach, ammonia, alcohol, acids, or VOCs.

Is Concrobium Mold Control a mold remover that also removes stains?

It eliminates existing mold but may not whiten residual stains on contact. Reapplying the product and wiping or scrubbing may help, although some discoloration can be irreversible. If another method is used to remove or cover the stain, reapply Mold Control as the final protective step.

Can Concrobium Mold Control be used after flooding or water damage?

Yes. It can be incorporated into mold remediation and water-damage restoration projects. Correct the moisture source, remove excess water, and dry affected surfaces before treatment.

Can it be applied to new building materials?

Yes. Concrobium Mold Control can be used to pretreat building materials such as drywall and lumber to help prevent future mold growth.

When should Concrobium Mold Control be reapplied?

Rust-Oleum directs users to reapply it weekly or when mold growth or odor reappears. It should also be reapplied after treated surfaces are washed or painted. Correct the source of recurring moisture before reapplication.

Is Concrobium Mold Control EPA registered?

Yes. Concrobium Mold Control is registered with the EPA under EPA Registration Number 82552-1.
