Blanke® SECUMAT is a tear-resistant rolled uncoupling underlayment for ceramic tile and natural stone installations on interior floors and walls. It provides crack isolation that helps protect the tile covering from damage caused by lateral substrate movement while maintaining a low-profile assembly.
Low-Profile Alternative to Thicker Uncoupling Systems
At only 0.9 mm (nominal 1/25") thick, SECUMAT minimizes buildup beneath the finished tile. Its lightweight rolled construction is easy to cut and install and requires less thinset than thicker rolled uncoupling products.
Wood and Cement Substrate Compatibility
SECUMAT is approved for installation over wood and cement substrates and accommodates all tile sizes, including mosaics. Modified thinset can be used with porcelain tile, providing flexibility when selecting installation materials for different tile assemblies.
Reinforced Construction for Floors and Walls
The underlayment uses a fiberglass reinforcing mesh embedded between layers of polyester fabric to create a secure bonding surface. SECUMAT can also be used vertically and for crack isolation beneath partial areas of an installation when full-area coverage is not required.
