Product Information
The Alpha® EZ Thin Tile Cutter Starter Kit is a manual score-and-snap system for smooth-surface thin porcelain tile and panels. It is designed for porcelain products with a solid, continuous body, including StonePeak, SlimLite™, Laminam®, and similar thin-panel materials up to 3/8" (10mm) thick. The system does not require electrical power.
The included EZ Thin Panel T-Cutter uses guide rollers to follow a straight, clean panel edge. Its scaled aluminum bar and adjustable cutting head position the scoring wheel at the required distance from the edge for accurate parallel cuts. The KEC-600 is marketed as the 24" model and provides a maximum scoring width of 25-1/2".
The kit also includes an EZ Slimline Oil Cutter, EZ Glass Running Plier, and EZ Cutter Oil. After the porcelain surface is scored in one continuous motion, the included running plier applies even pressure along the score line to produce a controlled break. The panel can also be snapped manually when appropriate.
EZ Thin Tile Cutters require a smooth porcelain surface so the scoring wheel can create a continuous score line. They are not recommended for textured porcelain or natural stone. For textured thin porcelain, Alpha recommends using a Spike Ruler with compatible powered cutting equipment and an appropriate blade rather than this manual tile cutter kit.
