The Alpha® DS Style 4" Coarse Grinding Wheel is a diamond grinding wheel designed for lightweight grinding and shaping of marble, granite, engineered stone, and softer materials. Its controlled cutting action removes stock while helping prevent excessive material removal from delicate edges and detailed profiles.
No-Bounce Control for Delicate Edges
Alpha's exclusive No-Bounce construction uses resin inside the wheel to reduce the bouncing effect commonly associated with turbo-style grinding wheels. The steadier cutting action improves control and helps reduce operator fatigue during detailed fabrication and tile work.
Bullnose and Curved Profile Shaping
This shaping wheel provides the cutting action needed to form bullnose edges, curved areas, and other stone profiles. Its soft touch is especially useful on marble and other softer stones where an overly aggressive grinder wheel could remove too much material.
Wet or Dry Tool Compatibility
The 4" shaping and grinding wheel has a 5/8"-11 thread for compatible angle grinders and wet polishers. It can be operated wet or dry at low or high speeds without exceeding its maximum operating speed of 14,500 RPM.
