Product Information
The GRABO® OTTOVAC is a compact electric vacuum lifter designed for glass, ceramic tile, and other compatible smooth, flat, non-porous materials. Its integrated electric pump creates vacuum automatically, eliminating the repetitive manual pumping required by traditional suction cups.
A built-in pressure sensor monitors the vacuum throughout lifting and transport. The pump automatically stops when optimal suction is reached, helping prevent excessive vacuum pressure, and restarts if pressure falls below the safe holding threshold. This automatic control helps maintain a consistent grip while positioning glass and tile.
The OTTOVAC can operate with a rechargeable 7.4V lithium-ion battery cartridge or an alkaline battery cartridge that accepts four AA batteries. The lithium-ion cartridge charges through a USB-C connection, while the AA option provides convenient backup power when charging is unavailable. A USB-C charging cable is not included.
Weighing approximately 2.6 lbs with a battery installed, the OTTOVAC is easy to carry between installations and includes a fitted storage case. GRABO currently specifies a 230 lb safe working load for approved smooth, non-porous materials. The published 330 lb figure represents maximum holding force under ideal test conditions and must not be treated as the safe working load.
Common Questions
The OTTOVAC is designed for glass, ceramic tile, and other compatible smooth, flat, non-porous materials capable of maintaining a vacuum seal.
GRABO’s current product specifications list an official safe working load of 230 lbs. Always confirm a complete vacuum seal and follow the instructions supplied with the tool.
The 330 lb figure represents maximum holding force achieved under ideal testing conditions. It is not the safe working load and should never be used as the allowable lifting limit.
The built-in sensor stops the pump when optimal vacuum is reached. If pressure falls below the safe holding threshold, the pump automatically restarts to restore the vacuum.
The OTTOVAC can use a rechargeable 7.4V lithium-ion battery cartridge or an alkaline battery cartridge that accepts four AA batteries.
The rechargeable battery cartridge charges through a USB-C connection. GRABO notes that the USB-C charging cable is not included.
No. An integrated electric pump creates and maintains the vacuum automatically. The vacuum can be released using the built-in push-button release.
The tool measures approximately 7.87" × 7.87" × 3.54" and weighs approximately 2.6 lbs with the battery installed.
The GRABO OTTOVAC is rated for operation between 32°F and 140°F (0°C to 60°C).
GRABO advises against attaching the OTTOVAC to glass thinner than 6 mm because the vacuum pressure may damage the material. The tool must never be used for climbing or supporting a person’s weight.
