About This Product

Portable Bucket Heater for Jobsite Water

The Electra® SafeHete™ Portable Immersion Bucket Heater warms water directly in buckets, pails, tile saw pans, and small portable containers. Its compact design makes it easy to move between tile installations, workshops, maintenance tasks, and other locations without convenient access to warm water.

1150W Immersion Bucket Heater

Both models use a 120-volt, 1150-watt heating element to deliver efficient direct-immersion heating. The UL Listed design includes an internal thermal protector that helps interrupt operation when the heating element does not have adequate water coverage.

Two Stem Heights for Different Containers

The 2150SS has a 5-1/2" stem for shallow containers and tile saw pans, while the 3150SS has an 11-1/2" stem for deeper buckets and pails. Both models feature a compact 5" base, corrosion-resistant Incoloy heating element, and USA-made construction.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What containers can the Electra SafeHete Bucket Heater be used in?

The heater is designed to warm water in buckets, pails, tile saw pans, and other small containers that can safely accommodate its 5" base. The container must remain stable, tolerate heated water, and maintain the manufacturer’s required minimum liquid level throughout operation.

What is the difference between the 2150SS and 3150SS models?

The 2150SS has a 5-1/2" stem for shallower containers, including many tile saw pans and 3.5-gallon pails. The 3150SS has an 11-1/2" stem for deeper containers such as 5-gallon buckets. Both models have a 5" base and the same electrical rating.

What are the electrical requirements for the SafeHete Bucket Heater?

Both listed models operate on 120 volts with a 1150-watt heating output and are UL Listed. Connect the heater only to a properly grounded outlet. GFCI protection is strongly recommended whenever portable electrical equipment is operated around water, especially on jobsites and in wet work areas.

What is the minimum water level required during operation?

SafeHete specifies a minimum liquid level of 1-1/2". The round heating base must remain submerged while the unit is energized, while the handle and electrical cord stay out of the water. The internal thermal protector does not replace proper immersion or regular water-level monitoring.

How should the portable bucket heater be operated safely?

Place the heating base in the water before connecting power. Keep the handle, plug, and cord dry, and never touch the water or heater while it is energized. Unplug the unit before removing it from the container and allow the heated element to cool before handling or storage.

Can the automatic thermal protector replace supervision?

No. The internal protector provides backup protection when the heater lacks adequate water coverage, but it is not permission to leave the unit unattended. Monitor the water level and temperature, unplug the heater when the desired temperature is reached, and prevent the water from becoming hot enough to cause burns.

Can the SafeHete Bucket Heater be used with liquids other than water?

This product is designed and marketed as a water bucket heater. Compatibility information is not provided for chemicals, solvents, flammable liquids, or specialized process fluids. Do not use it with another liquid unless Electra confirms that the specific fluid and application are compatible with the heater.
