Cut-to-Fit Waterproofing Around Floor Penetrations
Blanke® AQUA BM Floor Collars maintain waterproofing continuity around pipes and other compatible floor penetrations in tiled wet areas. The opening is cut on site to match the penetration, allowing each collar to be sized for the specific installation instead of relying on a fixed factory opening.
17-2/3" Square Collars with Fleece-Laminated Surfaces
Each collar measures 17-2/3" × 17-2/3", providing a broad waterproofing area around the penetration. The polyethylene film has fleece bonded to both sides, creating a suitable surface for embedding the collar in thinset mortar and connecting it with adjoining AQUA-SHIELD components.
AQUA-SHIELD System Accessory for Tiled Wet Areas
AQUA BM Floor Collars integrate with Blanke AQUA-SHIELD waterproofing assemblies beneath ceramic tile and stone. The three-piece pack supports waterproofing work in showers, bathrooms, steam rooms, locker rooms, and other applications where floor penetrations must be incorporated into the waterproofing layer.
Installation and Seam Treatment
Cut the opening to fit the penetration and install the collar over a clean, flat, dry, and load-bearing substrate according to Blanke’s current AQUA-SHIELD instructions. Embed the collar in thinset mortar, remove trapped air, and establish complete contact with the substrate. Maintain the required 2" overlap with adjoining waterproofing components and use Blanke AQUA-SEAL at seams and connections where directed.
