About This Product
Waterproofing and Bonding for S-DRY Shower Systems
wedi® S-DRY™ SEAL is a two-component, cement-based waterproofing compound for use with wedi S-DRY products in wet-area installations. It waterproofs and bonds membrane overlaps, transitions, seam tape, corners, and connections to wedi S-DRY bonding flange drains.
Same-Day Flood Testing
S-DRY SEAL dries to a waterproof film while allowing fresh thinset beneath S-DRY sheet membranes to continue hydrating. Completed S-DRY shower installations can be flood tested 6 hours after S-DRY SEAL is applied, allowing waterproofing and testing to be completed the same day.
ANSI Waterproofing and Crack Isolation Performance
The cement-based compound meets and exceeds ANSI A118.10 requirements for waterproofing and ANSI A118.12 requirements for crack isolation. The formula is also solvent free and is designed specifically for waterproof connections throughout the S-DRY system.
1:1 Mixing for Waterproof Connections
S-DRY SEAL Liquid and Powder are mixed at a 1:1 ratio by liquid ounces to create the waterproofing compound. One 16 oz. bag of powder is mixed with half of the 32 oz. liquid bottle, allowing the supplied material to be prepared in two batches as needed.
