About This Product
Two-Part Wood Bleach for a Lighter, More Uniform Color
Zinsser® Wood Bleach is a two-part bleaching system designed to brighten new or stripped wood and produce a lighter, more uniform color. It can be used on interior wood trim, paneling, floors, furniture, and other wood surfaces.
Controlled Bleaching for Softwoods and Hardwoods
The two-part system allows the bleaching process to be adjusted based on the type of wood and desired result. Solution A is applied first and allowed to stand for 5 minutes on softwoods or 10 minutes on hardwoods. Solution B is then applied while the surface remains wet and allowed to dry overnight.
Surface Preparation and Finishing
Wood should be clean, dry, and free of dirt, oil, grease, loose coatings, sanding dust, and other surface contamination before application. After the treated wood has dried overnight, lightly sand the surface to remove residue and further lighten the wood. The bleaching process can be repeated when a lighter shade is desired.
Indoor Wood Restoration and Refinishing
Wood Bleach is intended for indoor use only and should be tested on an inconspicuous area before application. The kit includes one 8 oz. container of Part A and one 8 oz. container of Part B.
