Zinsser® Perma-White® Mold & Mildew-Proof™ Interior Paint is a high-performance acrylic coating formulated to prevent mold and mildew growth on the paint film. It creates a durable, washable finish that withstands moisture and resists dirt pickup in residential, commercial, and industrial interiors.
Bathrooms, Basements and High-Moisture Areas
Perma-White is suited for bathrooms, basements, kitchens, laundry rooms, closets, locker rooms, hot tub rooms, enclosed porches, pool areas, and other interiors where mold and mildew are a concern. It can be applied to walls, ceilings, trim, doors, wall cavities, and other paintable surfaces.
Self-Priming on a Wide Range of Surfaces
The self-priming formula bonds to many glossy and hard-to-paint surfaces. Recommended substrates include new or previously painted drywall, cured plaster, cement, poured concrete, stucco, concrete block, ceramic tile, primed or previously painted wood and metal, paneling, rigid paintable plastics, and laminates.
Washable, Moisture-Resistant Finish
The coating inhibits the growth of odor-causing microbes on the paint film and provides a washable surface that resists moisture and dirt. It offers high hide, easy application, good touch-up performance, low odor, soap-and-water cleanup, and a 2-hour recoat time. The white base can also be tinted from off-white through mid-tone colors.
Performance for Sanitary and Damp Environments
Perma-White may be applied over damp masonry but is not designed to stop active water leaks. It complies with USDA FSIS sanitation performance standards for food establishment facilities, passes ASTM D5590 and ASTM D3273 testing, and is MPI #54 certified.
