Product Information
The Alpha® Vetro is a wet diamond blade developed for high-speed cutting of glass tile and laminated safety glass. Its smooth continuous diamond rim and glass-specific bond hardness produce straight, accurate cuts with minimal chipping, helping installers reduce damaged material and unnecessary waste.
The Vetro cutting blade provides the control needed for plunge cutting, trimming near glass edges, and creating internal radiuses. Its fine diamond matrix is also recommended for cutting onyx while maintaining a clean finished edge.
Vetro blades are available in 4-3/8", 7", 8", and 10" diameters. The 4-3/8" blade is designed for portable wet cutting with compatible stone cutters, including the Alpha® AWS-110. The 7", 8", and 10" continuous rim diamond blades use 5/8" arbors and are designed for compatible wet tile saws.
Every Alpha® Vetro blade requires continuous water flow during cutting. Water controls heat and dust while supporting cutting performance and blade life. Operating the blade dry, even briefly, can create excessive heat and permanently damage the diamond rim.

Common Questions
The Vetro is designed primarily for cutting glass tile and laminated safety glass. Its fine diamond matrix is also recommended for cutting onyx.
No. Alpha does not recommend cutting tempered glass because the material will shatter when the blade begins cutting.
Yes. Every Vetro blade is wet-use only and requires continuous water flow. Using the blade dry, even for a few seconds, can cause excessive heat and blade damage.
The 7", 8", and 10" Vetro blades have 5/8" arbors and are designed for compatible wet tile saws. Verify the blade diameter, arbor size, and maximum RPM before use.
The 4-3/8" WG0438 is intended for portable wet cutting with compatible stone cutters. Alpha specifically recommends it for the AWS-110 Wet Stone Cutter and states that it does not fit the AWS-125.
Yes. The blade is suitable for plunge cutting, trimming near glass edges, and cutting internal radiuses where control and finished-edge quality are important.
Its smooth continuous diamond rim and glass-specific bond maintain consistent contact with the material, producing straight cuts with minimal edge chipping.
A slower cutting rate may indicate that the diamonds are glazed or rounded. Alpha recommends re-dressing the blade with a soft abrasive material such as a dressing stone or concrete block.
