Product Information
Alpha® G-Tape™ 3040 Series is a high-adhesion acrylic flashing tape for waterproofing and permanent bonding applications around windows, doors, deck beams, and deck joists. The lightweight acrylic construction provides a contractor-friendly alternative to heavier butyl and rubberized asphalt flashing products while protecting building components from water exposure.
The 3040 Series is rated for all-weather use from -40°F to 176°F (-40°C to 80°C) and achieves permanent adhesion without requiring an additional primer. Its AAMA 711 Level 3 Class A certification supports flashing performance across demanding hot and cold conditions, while weather and UV resistance provide protection in exposed construction environments.
G-Tape 3040 can be torn straight and cleanly by hand, reducing the need for cutting tools during installation. Although the acrylic adhesive creates a permanent bond after application, adhesive surfaces accidentally folded together while removing the backing can be separated cleanly during installation without sacrificing performance.
The black 3040 Series is available in 2", 4", 6", 9", and 12" widths, with each roll measuring 65' long. The range of widths allows installers to select coverage for narrow deck framing, window and door openings, wider transitions, and other waterproof flashing applications without changing tape systems.
