The lightweight acrylic construction provides a contractor-friendly alternative to heavier butyl and rubberized asphalt flashing products while protecting building components from water exposure.
All-Weather Adhesion Without Primer
The 3040 Series is rated for all-weather use from -40°F to 176°F (-40°C to 80°C) and achieves permanent adhesion without requiring an additional primer. Its AAMA 711 Level 3 Class A certification supports flashing performance across demanding hot and cold conditions, while weather and UV resistance provide protection in exposed construction environments.
Hand-Tearable Flashing for Faster Installation
G-Tape 3040 can be torn straight and cleanly by hand, reducing the need for cutting tools during installation. Although the acrylic adhesive creates a permanent bond after application, adhesive surfaces accidentally folded together while removing the backing can be separated cleanly during installation without sacrificing performance.
