Expand SunTouch Electric Floor Heating Systems
The SunTouch® SunStat® R4 Relay controls additional electrical loads for SunTouch floor heating systems that require more than the thermostat's 15-amp capacity. Each relay provides a 15-amp resistive load capacity and requires its own 20-amp circuit and individual circuit breaker.
Wired and Wireless Thermostat Connection
The R4 Relay can connect to compatible SunStat thermostats through wired or wireless connections. Up to 10 wired R4 Relays can be connected to one thermostat, while up to 6 relays can be connected wirelessly. Built-in 915 MHz technology provides wireless connectivity with the SunStat ConnectPlusâ„¢ thermostat, and wireless relays can report energy usage back to the thermostat.
120V and 240V Floor Heating Control
Dual-voltage operation supports both 120V and 240V electric floor heating systems. Each R4 Relay controls up to 1800 watts at 120V or 3600 watts at 240V, allowing larger floor heating installations to be divided across additional circuits while remaining under centralized thermostat control.
SunStat Thermostat Compatibility
The R4 Relay is compatible only with SunStat ConnectPlusâ„¢, Connect, and Command thermostats and should not be connected to older SunStat thermostat or relay models. Built-in Class A GFCI protection and status indicators provide integrated protection and operating feedback for each controlled circuit.
