Nuheat® Lead Wire Repair Kit is designed for repairing damaged cold lead wires on Nuheat electric floor heating mats. The kit provides replacement lead wire and heat shrink components required to restore proper electrical connection when a lead wire has been compromised.
This kit is intended for use during installation or repair and supports proper testing before, during, and after the repair process in accordance with Nuheat installation and warranty requirements.
Kit Contents
- 10 ft replacement lead wire
- 3 large heat shrink sleeves
- 3 small heat shrink sleeves
Small heat shrink sleeves are used to connect the heating wire of the mat to the larger cold lead wire.
Testing Requirements
- Insulation testing to confirm proper isolation between conductors and grounding braid
- Resistance testing to verify continuity and confirm readings are within acceptable tolerance of factory specifications
Nuheat heating mats must be tested before, during, and after installation or repair to maintain warranty validation.
Installation Notes
- Do not connect the heating mat to power during testing
- Damaged wire sections must be fully removed prior to installing the replacement lead
- Heat shrink connections must be properly sealed using a heat gun
- Insulation and resistance tests must be completed after repair
