About This Product

Laser-Welded Core Bits for Hard Surface Drilling

Alpha® Laser Core Bits are high-quality, aggressive core bits for drilling porcelain sintered slabs, granite, quartz and engineered stone, marble, and other hard building materials. The laser-welded design supports jobsite drilling across countertop fabrication, installation, construction, and related trades.

Countertop, Vanity and Sink Cutout Applications

The core bits can be used for drilling faucet-mounting holes in countertops and vanities and for creating clean rounded corners when preparing square or rectangular sink cutouts. Their range of diameters also supports openings for water, gas, and electrical piping in compatible materials.

5/8"-11 Thread for High-Speed Grinders

Each core bit uses a 5/8"-11 thread for compatibility with popular high-speed angle grinders. The bits can also be used with a compatible core bit extension for hammer drill or rotary hammer applications, expanding their usefulness beyond handheld grinder drilling.

Wet and Dry Drilling Options

Diameters from 3/4" through 4" support wet or dry drilling, allowing the drilling method to match jobsite conditions and material requirements. The 3/8" and 1/2" core bits are wet-only models. Maximum operating speed is 12,000 RPM for sizes through 2" and 8,400 RPM for 2-1/2", 3", and 4" models.
