Discover the power of Blue Bear 605 Pro Coating Removal with Safenol—a top choice for contractors and DIY enthusiasts seeking an effective adhesive glue remover. Ideal for removing stubborn adhesives, including mastic and carpet/tile adhesives, this versatile formula effortlessly tackles even decades-old residues. Crafted with soybeans instead of harsh chemicals, it is safe for use in sensitive environments like schools and hospitals. Whether you’re dealing with old paint or lead paint removal, this product is your solution.

Key Features:

  • Effective Adhesive Removal: Our advanced formula dissolves a variety of adhesives including mastic (even asbestos/black mastics) and carpet/tile adhesives.
  • Safe and Non-Toxic: Made with soybeans, free from methylene chloride, acetone, and mineral spirits—perfect for use in occupied areas.
  • Wide Coverage: Covers up to 125 square feet per gallon, making it a cost-effective choice for large projects.
  • Lead Paint Encapsulation: Encapsulates lead, preventing airborne particles for safer removal and disposal. Follow local, state, and federal disposal regulations.

How to Use:

  1. Preparation: Test the product in a small, inconspicuous area before starting your project.
  2. Application: Apply a thick layer of Blue Bear 605 Pro using a brush, squeegee, or industrial airless sprayer. A thin application may cause the product to dry out prematurely.
  3. Removal: Once the coating begins to buckle, use a scraper to check if it has softened down to the surface. If not, allow more time and recheck. Scrape away the softened coating for clean removal.

Benefits:

  • Gentle Yet Powerful: Effectively removes stubborn adhesives and old paint without damaging surfaces.
  • Environmentally Friendly: Soy-based and free from harmful chemicals, ensuring a safer work environment.
  • Versatile Application: Suitable for use on wood, metal, concrete, and masonry surfaces.

Use Cases:

  • Contractors: Ideal for large renovation projects and adhesive removal in commercial spaces.
  • DIY Enthusiasts: Perfect for home improvement tasks and removing old paint or adhesive residues from furniture and fixtures.

Best Stripper for Maple Cabinets covered with Polyurethane Finish

I tried other product and found the Blue Bear 605 Pro to be the best at taking off the polyurethane finish from my maple wood kitchen cabinets. Other products failed to lift the polyurethane finish as well as Blue Bear or left the wood surface mottled. The mottling would have to be sanded off. Also, this product appears to be less toxic than some of the other products presently available on the market. Regarding safety concerns, the bottle of the Blue Bear 605 Pro only mentions that the user of the product should keep it away from plants.

Worked perfectly

Stripped an old Ethan Allen furniture piece that had the standard nutmeg stain and varnish finish. Only one coat was needed. Clear coat and stain came off easily. Cleaned up with soapy water. Sanded after dry.I found out later, they sell Safenol Paint and Urethane stripper at Ace for $17. It's made with the same chemicals. Just did a comparison test between 605 and Safenol on another furniture piece and got the same result.

It works like advertised.

It worked on 5 coats of paint. Lead based under coats through 2 latex top coats. I did take a little work because all of the different type paints but, I'm very happy with it.

Surprised with the ease

I’ve never stripped wood before so this review comes from an inexperienced person. It did a great job but there is a learning curve. I was stripping an oak 6 panel door that I had used the wrong polyurethane on it (soft satin is very shiny for a door).Slop it on and let it sit. It needs to sit longer than 15 minutes. It starts reacting immediately but the change in texture doesn’t mean it’s drying or that it’s finished. A credit card worked great for removing it from the corners. Use disposable gloves, I used gardening gloves I had bought for $1. The remover ate a hole in them, I imagine it would not be healthy to not use gloves. Make sure you get in those corners, it will leave gunk behind and you don’t want to restain over it. I need to strip the edging as well and will definitely use this again. I had plenty for the 8’ door and have enough to strip the door edging.I watched a few videos and it was on the “best strippers” list. Do not search for best strippers, you will regret having it on your search history. 😆

Easy to use, don’t let it dry.

Great product I’ve used for years. This particular line doesn’t clean as easily as the original, but is still very good. Just don’t let ANY of it dry on your project.
