Product Information
GoBoardĀ® Banding is a waterproof sealing tape designed to seal seams, joints, and transitions in GoBoard waterproofing assemblies. Manufactured from 100-micron polyethylene laminated to polypropylene fabric, it creates a continuous waterproof barrier behind ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tile installations.
Designed specifically for GoBoard assemblies, the banding bonds with both modified and unmodified thin-set mortars and allows tile to be installed immediately after application. It provides a reliable waterproof connection at panel joints and transitions without delaying installation.
GoBoard Banding complies with ANSI A118.10 waterproofing requirements and meets ASTM E96 Method E requirements for steam room applications. It also achieves an ASTM C627 Extra Heavy durability rating, making it suitable for demanding residential and commercial wet-area installations.
Use GoBoard Banding to waterproof seams, joints, and transitions in showers, tub surrounds, steam rooms, and other wet-area tile assemblies where a continuous waterproof layer is required.
