Product Information
Alpha® PVA QC Quick Change Polishing Discs are designed for polishing glass tile, marble, limestone, travertine, and stainless steel with compatible low-speed polishing tools. Available from 40 grit extra coarse through 600 grit extra fine, the 4" discs provide a complete progression for material removal, surface refinement, and polishing applications.
Each PVA QC disc uses a snail lock adapter that fits onto the compatible aluminum snail-lock backer plate and locks into place with a twisting motion. Discs can be removed by untwisting and replaced with the next grit, reducing the time required to move through the polishing sequence and improving productivity compared with more involved pad changes.
The PVA QC system is designed for low-speed polishing tools such as the Alpha AWP-158 and AIR-680 and has a maximum operating speed of 4,000 RPM. The system is suited for baseboards, corners, countertop edges, and other polishing applications where controlled low-speed operation is needed.
In addition to stone and glass tile polishing, the PVA QC system can polish stainless steel to a mirror-like finish. The 4" discs can also be used for paint removal, with the PVA material designed to resist clogging during use.
