About This Product

Quick Change Adapter for Alpha PVA QC Polishing Discs

The Alpha® Snail Lock Adapter is a 4" aluminum backer plate designed for the Alpha PVA QC Quick Change polishing system. It connects PVA QC polishing discs to compatible low-speed polishing tools and uses a snail-lock attachment that allows pads to be installed and removed with a simple twisting motion.

Faster Grit Changes During Polishing

The Quick Change system eliminates the need for more time-consuming pad attachment methods when progressing through polishing grits. Each PVA QC pad uses a snail lock connection that fits into the adapter and twists into place, allowing the operator to quickly remove the current pad and install the next grit for improved productivity.

Low-Speed Polisher Compatibility

The 4" adapter features a 5/8"-11 thread and is rated for a maximum speed of 4,000 RPM. It was developed for low-speed polishing tools such as the Alpha AWP-158 and AIR-680 and works with other compatible low-speed polishers using the appropriate 5/8"-11 connection.

PVA QC Polishing System Applications

When paired with Alpha PVA QC discs, the system supports polishing applications on glass tile, marble, limestone, travertine, and stainless steel, along with baseboard, corner, and countertop edge work. The adapter serves as the reusable connection between the polishing tool and interchangeable PVA QC discs.
