Product Information
The Alpha® AIR-850/AIR-854 Pneumatic Polishers are high-performance, center water-feed tools for wet polishing, drilling, and profiling hard surfaces. A newly developed motor with a five-hybrid-composite-vane design produces more power and operates at a maximum no-load speed of 5,500 RPM for productive stone fabrication and finishing.
The central water-feed system supplies water directly through the tool regardless of working position. A redesigned splash guard reduces water spray while maintaining visibility of the work surface, and the water quick coupler includes a shut-off valve for convenient water control during operation.
The lightweight 2.75 lb design supports maneuverability during polishing and profiling work. A silicone gear head cover adds cushioning and insulation around the gear head, while the redesigned end case improves access to air and water controls and reduces the risk of breakage. An enhanced spindle shaft and full-size wrench simplify tool removal.
AIR-850 models use a 5/8"-11 spindle, while AIR-854 models use an M14-2 spindle, allowing fabricators to select the thread configuration that matches their tooling. Both configurations operate at 85 PSI with 15 CFM air consumption and use a 1/4" BSPP air inlet and 1/8" BSPP water inlet.
AIR-850 and AIR-854 standard models include 15 ft air and water hoses, a reversible side handle, rust inhibitor oil, exhaust hose, splash guard, double-end wrench, screwdriver, water quick coupler with shut-off valve, and additional service components. AIR-850M and AIR-854M are machine-and-oil-only configurations for users who do not need the standard accessory package.

Common Questions
All AIR-850 and AIR-854 configurations have a maximum no-load speed of 5,500 RPM.
The spindle thread is the primary difference. AIR-850 models use a 5/8"-11 spindle, while AIR-854 models use an M14-2 spindle. Both have a maximum no-load speed of 5,500 RPM and the same listed air requirements.
They are recommended for wet polishing, drilling, and profiling applications.
The polishers operate at 85 PSI (6 Bar) with an air consumption of 15 CFM (425 L/min).
Yes. The central water-feed system delivers water through the tool regardless of its working position.
AIR-850 is supplied with the standard accessory package, while AIR-850M is the machine-and-oil-only configuration. Both use a 5/8"-11 spindle and have a maximum speed of 5,500 RPM.
AIR-854 is supplied with the standard accessory package, while AIR-854M is the machine-and-oil-only configuration. Both use an M14-2 spindle and have a maximum speed of 5,500 RPM.
The standard models include 15 ft air and water hoses, a reversible side handle, rust inhibitor oil, oil-port screw with O-ring seal, exhaust hose with clamp, spring washer, splash guard, 19 mm/22 mm double-end wrench, Phillips screwdriver, water quick coupler with shut-off valve, and water-valve repair O-ring.
