Waterproofing for Concrete and Masonry Surfaces
Zinsser® WaterTite® LX Ultra Mold & Mildew Proof Waterproofing Paint is a water-based modified acrylic copolymer coating that forms an impermeable barrier against water on concrete and masonry. It can be applied to interior surfaces and above- or below-grade exterior concrete, including vertical and horizontal surfaces.
Hydrostatic Pressure and Moisture Protection
WaterTite LX Ultra resists up to 20 PSI of water pressure and helps stop moisture from entering basement and cellar walls. It can also prevent water from exiting concrete structures such as canals and holding basins and meets ASTM D-7088 for resistance to hydrostatic pressure and ASTM D-6904 for resistance to wind-driven rain.
Mold, Mildew and Efflorescence Resistance
The coating resists mold, mildew, and efflorescence in wet environments and meets ASTM D-5590 for fungal defacement resistance. It is also suitable as a block filler in wet areas where epoxy finishes will be applied, including car washes and restrooms.
Fast-Drying, Paintable Waterproof Finish
The very low-odor formula dries to a smooth, bright white finish and can be recoated in 2–3 hours. Once applied, it can be topcoated with latex, oil-based, or epoxy coatings. The white finish can also be tinted to off-white and pastel tones using up to 2 oz. of universal colorant per gallon.
Concrete and Masonry Applications
WaterTite LX Ultra can be used on concrete block and cast-in-place concrete as well as fountains, reflecting pools, planters, retaining walls, privacy fences, and similar concrete or masonry surfaces. It is not intended for swimming pools, potable water contact, glazed or non-porous surfaces, or as a solution for cracks, expansion joints, or substrate movement.
